My Mom so underestimated (or at least told me so) the impacts she bribed me with a shopping trip immediately thereafter. Of course 7 days of Demerol haze later and a loss of probably 15+ pounds, I "came to." Fortunately, that was under the treatment of an oral surgeon and not a far less trained & equipped dentist. But, damn. I'm glad I had it done as my teeth were proportionately far too large for my smallish mouth (yes, really). But, wow.

And if they lost all that bone and had all those complications in the video, I REALLY have to wonder what an incompetent performed the procedure. Not buying the premise for a moment, beyond the fact that some people DO have complications. Chose your oral surgeon wisely for this procedure.
