3. I suggest you go to a local UU Church, they really are not dogmatic or even "churchy" at all, you might meet someone..

Another one would be a local Unity Church of Christ...they too are not particularly dogmatic but are a little more "out there" with the love bombing...Both of these groups were always friendly...and I'm an agnostic (aka, wimpy atheist). I have attended a local Episcopal Church and they were fine, more traditional Xian with lots of up and downs (hard on the knees) but not pushy. The local Quaker "meetings" I've been to were fine as well, mostly just sitting quietly with your thoughts in a group...Went to a Zen meditation group a few times, again it was okay...possibilities for meeting someone you may like...

Edit: All of these meetings had some sort of discussion, usually afterwards which helped with getting out of your/my shell...
