I like to remove husks and silk before cooking so I don’t have to deal with those when the ears are hot. Wrap clean rinsed ears in wax paper and microwave on high power, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes per ear… then enjoy!

I ALWAYS wash hands after removing husks, and thoroughly rinse the cleaned ears, because I don’t know what the farmer has sprayed on them. Chances are (especially if the ears have little or no earworm or fungal damage) that one or more pesticides and/or fungicides have been sprayed on the corn.
