3. I'm not familiar with that one, but the one that scares me the most is, of course, the Three Gorges dam.

The consequences of failure of that monstrosity would dwarf years worth, perhaps decades worth, of losses to air pollution, a subset of the deaths caused each year from energy production, both by fossil fuels and so called "renewable energy," biomass combustion.
