We're already under a flood warning because of all the rain we've had this past week. The Cape Fear River is already at flood stage, and I'm very close to the river.

Hatteras Island flooding is inevitable in this case. I'm sure that the roads there will be washed out.

Houses started falling into the ocean there a couple of years ago. Now, they are proactively being demolished to protect the beach from the dangerous debris that results from a collapse.

The farm is situated at an elevation where when it floods, it essentially becomes an island. I just have to wait for the water to receed before I can go anywhere. Because of the river, the roads are usually impassable and dangerous. So, I just hunker down and wait.
