He is a capitalist first and foremost and a liberal if it serves him, depending on which community he's talking to. A true liberal doesn't change their beliefs in policy because they're talking to the banking industry.

Second he only embraces his ethnic status when amongst family and friends within the community, unless he's changed which is a possibility now that he's closer to the end than the beginning. Mortality has a way of helping one to see the light. I'm sure he sees this as his last hoorah.

I'm sure he has many regrets, at least I hope he does. He should rest and call it a night.
