Huff Post has an article that references the same and what prompted changes to the Ag appropriations for the extension of the Farm Bill portion of the C.R. I.e., the throwing out of the proverbial baby (hemp growing) with the bathwater (a broad and sweeping assertion that there are those out there producing SYNTHETIC ( "intoxicating" ) products derived from hemp and (quote) "selling them in gas station convenience stores", etc., was the issue.
