As Gavin Newsom recently stated, the voters would rather have strong and wrong than right and weak. The senate democrats demonstrated once again last night that they’re weak and will capitulate to MAGA. When voters don’t show up for democrats in the midterms, it can be traced to the events of last night. It’s politically disastrous for democrats. There’s no other way to spin it, and it reinforces the perception that the democrats are weak and won’t actually fight hard against Trump and the GOP.
