I just sent the whole thing to him. I've been trying to connect him with other Afghan friends who are professionals who were able to leave.

I feel absolutely terrible for the women, too. Most are no longer able to get maternity care. Lots of newborns are dying. The women are forced to give birth at home alone with no assistance. No doctor, midwife or pain management. Risks to mothers are exponentially worse.
