They can get officially blocked, but what really counts is what sticks in the listeners' minds, and gets on the news clips.

Dem points were skillfully drowned out and "erased' in the memories of those watching the hearing by Republican rhetorical teamwork. On an individual level, they've always relied on the gish gallop. Today, what I saw was a well-coordinated team effort to sequentially derail Dem talking points.

Dems need a team-based debate strategy to counter their sequential Gish Gallops and shout downs. Cory did a pretty good job of shouting over Kash, but in the end, I don't remember the points he was trying to make. And that's the problem. Their tactics make their messages "stickier" than ours, IMHO.
