I understand the possible benefit. My comments are strictly about the Mayor saying it was an "overstatement" in response to a question about his expression of appreciation.
The Felon will take every opportunity to lie and exaggerate about any gratitude expressed to him. It's incumbent upon our politicians to make clear and deliberate statements so as not to allow the lies and exaggeration to take a foothold. It gives the false impression that he (the Felon) is making the right decision by sending in Federal law enforcement and National Guard to handle local law enforcement matters.
