Lots of competition, but the net result is that the world is working around the US blockage, isolating US more and greatly reducing its soft power.
Soft power is a concept that mystifies the tRump regime. They don't understand it, so they have written it all off.

The numbers being reported are seasonally adjusted numbers, so I wouldn't expect an uptick in September
