He also claimed on the day to have been in New Jersey, where he watched muslims dancing and celebrating. What we do know - because it’s on tape - is that he did appear on network TV in their NYC studio to give his opinion on the effects of the attack. His only real comment was that as a result of the attacks, he now owned the tallest building in Manhattan. This - unsurprisingly - was a lie, but in the face of an unknown number of deaths - early estimates were around 30k - Trump could only see how it elevated him and his buildings.
