(41,789 posts)and markets and their families and humans. I'd bet money that they only want to survive the next few years, and that they will make sure that nothing is done to thwart the People's will in 2026 and 2028.
Why? Because I've read their world views, how they think about the future, and that they honestly believe that this richest nation on earth is the only place where they could ever have gotten as far as they have. Especially Gates and Buffett. I'm not a fan of their Giving Pledge, since it's just a pledge, but it's a step in the right direction.
Sure, he hits Google in court, then invites the rest to read his particular tea leaves. But they know he can't break them.
I could be wrong, but from what I've read, it's pretty clear that these kinds of wealth handlers do a lot more behind the scenes (two of them operate cyber war rooms with the U.S. Military) than even the felon knows he doesn't know about, nevermind us everyday people. It's my theory that they're all more for retaining democracy than they let on, and he suspects that, which is why he thinks he wants to "sell" them on being on his "team."
