President Donald Trump will host tech leaders for a dinner in the Rose Garden on Thursday, the first event to be held in the newly renovated space.
The guest list for Thursdays event is expected to include Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, according to a White House official.
A source familiar told CNN the dinner plans came together quickly, with the event taking place the same day first lady Melania Trump will host a rare public event at the White House focused on artificial intelligence.
CEO of Google and its parent company, Alphabet, Sundar Pichai is set to speak at the first ladys afternoon event and then attend the Rose Garden dinner.
In a statement to CNN, the White House called the renovated space the Rose Garden Club and said the president looks forward to welcoming top business, political, and tech leaders for this dinner.

We havent had to think much about rain the past few weeks in the D.C. region. But we finally do have a chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon into evening.

Why? Because I've read their world views, how they think about the future, and that they honestly believe that this richest nation on earth is the only place where they could ever have gotten as far as they have. Especially Gates and Buffett. I'm not a fan of their Giving Pledge, since it's just a pledge, but it's a step in the right direction.
Sure, he hits Google in court, then invites the rest to read his particular tea leaves. But they know he can't break them.
I could be wrong, but from what I've read, it's pretty clear that these kinds of wealth handlers do a lot more behind the scenes (two of them operate cyber war rooms with the U.S. Military) than even the felon knows he doesn't know about, nevermind us everyday people. It's my theory that they're all more for retaining democracy than they let on, and he suspects that, which is why he thinks he wants to "sell" them on being on his "team."

They'll talk among themselves later, imo, and whatever happens later, it will likely be their decision, not his, imo.
