I participated in the CFC for years. Feds can contribute money as a 1-time donation each CFC period (for the year) or have an automatic, per pay period amount of money deducted from your paycheck to do the same. Those funds can then be distributed to one or any number of charitable participants that you designate, a list so large that it is literally compiled in a "booklet".

By removing that "easy" means to support these organizations, which they are continuing to do through cuts of Congressionally authorized funding, but now through the proposed elimination of employee donations facilitated by the government, is to literally starve organizations that HELP people, in order to feed the billionaires (and wannabe billionaires),

I expect they will next try to do a "litmus test" and and attempt to forbid federal employees from doing ANY donations to groups not promoting white Christian supremacy (including those that engage in all manner of bigotry and hate).
