The suspected attacker's mother, Mary Grace Westman, previously worked at Annunciation Catholic School - according to a school newsletter from 2016.

The school newsletter welcomed Mary as the new Administrative Assistant in the Business Office.

A post on the church's Facebook says she retired from the school in August 2021.
