We lived in Fairfield, Connecticut, a town burned by the British during the Revolution. There was a re-enactment of the event with people dressed in period costume. They even shot a cannon off during a huge parade. My kids loved it. Special songs were written. We all had a wonderful time and learned a lot about our American Heritage.
