I think the negativity of the socialist label is losing its sting. It has pretty much become just a boomer scare-word, with its roots back to cold-war years. A quickly dwindling population even gets that connection.

Will Republicans use it to rile their ancient base? Of course, but they were going to do that anyway. Their base from that era is shrinking daily.

With the right's very obvious over-reach, I think the time may be right to see if we can turn their fearmongering of socialism into an eye-roll meme and maybe start to rehabilitate the term.
