I want to get back to the times when our congressional representatives worked together and were actually able to compromise.

Back to WE THE PEOPLE, versus just doing whatever the President wants, ESPECIALLY when those interests are opposite of what the people want.

It's clear that major changes to the Constitution are necessary, and a few I can think of are...

Term Limits: Senate - 3 terms / 18 years; House - 9 terms / 18 years; Supreme Court NTE 25 years, mandatory retirement at age 72;
Accepting bribes should have immediate and permanent consequences - expulsion from Congress or the Supreme Court, as applicable.

States can recall elected officials, but United States Representatives & Senators are immune. Changes are needed to allow recalls for Dereliction of Duty. If US Representatives & Senators know the people of their respective states can "fire" them, perhaps they'll be more conscious of their responsibilities!

US President & Vice President: Impeachment hasn't been effective within Congress. Impeachment needs to be easier to curtail another king wannabe. Ideas??

Eliminate the electoral vote. It's unfair that a handful of states basically determine the outcome of the election. The popular vote should replace the outdated electoral vote.

Does anyone have other or contradictory ideas?
