4. I think they're "talking a good game," and I'll reserve judgement on their follow-through.

I'm still convinced that they'd ram through anything that...in their perception...wouldn't hurt them in the midterms.

I also saw something earlier today about Mike Johnson being "fed up" with Trump, and why not?

Remember this photo, McCarthy's face when he first appeared in the House holding the Speaker's gavel?



He sacrificed every last shred of his pride and dignity (assuming he had any to begin with) as Gaetz and others put him through the wringers.

FIFTEEN ROUNDS OF VOTING, ultimately all for nothing. And MAGAt Moses Mikey walked into that seat, and while he's experiencing a different form of pain, I'd say chances are slim that he'll still be speaker after the midterms.

It's like Trump voters saying he's screwed them, but they'd still vote for him again if they could.

Congressional Republicans are no different. If I'm wrong, if the tide is ACTUALLY turning, I'll be the first to admit it when i see the evidence.
