Small amounts help if you can afford it.

$25 covers fruit, bread, and lunch meat for a day.

A couple of us are trying to cover safety and regulatory costs. Smoke alarms, door windows, replacing peeling paint, replacing lights and putting cheap film on windows so the kids aren’t sitting in a hot room while volunteers are teaching them how to read.

We also had a local donate $200 for sports equipment which went a long way at the Under5 store for basketballs and nerf footballs, turns out the kids are elated to play capture the flag which requires a couple of rags and some masking tape. (Who knew!)

Good news is that we have seen success, kids getting into Cal State Fullerton, great help from the local High Schools via students coming to help and mentor.
