(3,051 posts)(I'm not IN the OC, but on a clear day I can SEE ya'll from my back yard!).
This is the part I don't understand. I REALLY want this to be anonymous. If I donate via PayPal, which is what pops up on my screen when I hit 'Donate', do they (you?) get my personal information? I.e name, address?
Thanks!

(19,799 posts)Best of luck with the fundraiser!
Everything helps. Being able to buy some fruit, bread and lunch meat for snacks is a great day.
There is no cost to the families and up until recently they took two snack days a month. Unfortunately too many can not even afford that recently thus the need reach out for help.
My pay, I get to try never before tried seasoning on watermelon and orange slices.

(118 posts)The kids are very appreciative and we are trying to expand their horizons along with basic skills.
Blows my mind when talking to kids about a beach day and some havent dipped their toes in the Pacific, which is less than 15 miles away.
Small amounts help if you can afford it.
$25 covers fruit, bread, and lunch meat for a day.
A couple of us are trying to cover safety and regulatory costs. Smoke alarms, door windows, replacing peeling paint, replacing lights and putting cheap film on windows so the kids arent sitting in a hot room while volunteers are teaching them how to read.
We also had a local donate $200 for sports equipment which went a long way at the Under5 store for basketballs and nerf footballs, turns out the kids are elated to play capture the flag which requires a couple of rags and some masking tape. (Who knew!)
Good news is that we have seen success, kids getting into Cal State Fullerton, great help from the local High Schools via students coming to help and mentor.
