Party insiders, consultants and K street lobbyists would control the process.

With individual candidates, although some might rely on consultants, others would develop their policy positions based on their values and vision, rather than some focus group tested nonsense. Hopefully, the Democratic base can sniff out the phonies and support candidates who will do more than just pay lip service to various groups and issues.

In my scenario, everybody would truly have a vote- in the primaries.
