6. Suspension is not the same as cancellation

They are going to redraw districts then hold their primary, followed by the general in November.

If elections were cancelled, then Louisiana would have no representation in congress starting January 2027. Other state positions would also be vacant.

So if red states want to cancel their elections, go right the fuck ahead- it would result in Dems having supermajorities where they could override Trump’s vetoes and impeach and remove him from office.

That’s why they won’t cancel their elections.
