16. Apologies, but I don't see us that way....

I think there are a lot of people... like me... who are NOT against "Israel", per se. We ARE as against Bibi N. every bit as much (and even moreso) than trump. They are two peas in a pod of evil. There have been too many people in both Israel and in Palestine who have worked together to try to bring peace, or at least build bridges. Systematic genocide is decided usually by a single individual... not a people. Bibi stands alone in this, or at least side by side with trump and putin. The situation IS a hard one. When you kick a people off their land and give it to others, there's always going to be a scar waiting for the next rupture. This is true on both sides. Gods know, Hezbollah is no example of good governance OR good global citizenship. There are those in that group who are just as bloodthirsty as Bibi. But that's what makes the situation so heart rending. If the third party agitators could be put out of commission (like trump, putin) and a more moderate Israeli take Bibi's place, maybe something good could happen. Most of us here at DU are sickened by the loss of life on all sides, as well as in Iran, Ukraine, and here in our own country. I'm old enough I doubt I'll ever see any forward motion on the issues. And I regret that for all the people of the region... and around the world.
