26. I think that he believes that it makes him look thinner

if the jacket frames his outer edges in black and leaves the white shirt visible, as if all there is to his body above the waist is what you see of the shirt.

Same reason why he wears loose suits and long ties. Thinks that loose suits hide the fat and that long ties make people take a more vertical than horizontal look at him.
