The media is spending a lot of time on civil rights violations in this administration. The miscreants at ICE are floating on top of the media reports flow without a doubt. The thing with the Guthrie kidnapping is all the questions. No one knows as of this writing whether Nancy Guthrie is still alive. (The picture of the masked intruder today asks that question again.) All the questions in the case take a lot of time to report. Is the media giving more time to this story because of Savannah Guthrie? It's possible, but remember, too, that if this wasn't a relative of Savannah Guthrie, the names of the relatives would be a lot less familiar and wouldn't resonate in our heads so much. But the facts surrounding the kidnapping would still be a big story, IMO, because people want to know about it. There's a lot of unknown information on this case still out there. And as long as there is, the story will be alive. Not because of Savannah Guthrie but because of the need to find the facts and report them.
