14. I feel that way from time to time...

...but I cannot allow myself to stay there. So I turn my mind to other things, cooking, painting, dancing, while ALSO putting my feet on the ground and doing the work with other Democrats. I do my best everyday to behave as if we have a fighting chance to save this Democracy. If we ever lose that hope, we truly are cooked. Our individual contributions may not add up to much, but the millions of Americans who are working to turn it around--far more than the ones working to destroy us--makes a HUGE difference. Do the work, knowing your contribution is important and you are not alone. Then enjoy a good meal, a great book, music album, a walk in the park, petting your dog...whatever it takes to take care of yourself so you can battle another day.
