"Hey folks,
The Indiana House is back in session. Are they meeting to talk about lowering healthcare costs? Improving our schools? Maybe ways to bring down grocery prices or keep data centers from drinking up our natural resources?
Nope. Instead they’re carving up our Congressional districts like a Thanksgiving turkey so the White House can walk away with a couple of “easy seats.”
And it isn’t just Elkhart County that gets sliced up. Our city does too. Under this draft map, the north side ends up in the Second District with South Bend, while the south side gets shipped off to our friends in Fort Wayne.
That’s confusing for voters and bad for representation.
Call your state reps and state senators and tell them no.
If you have to gerrymander to win, you’re admitting you can’t.
