3. I'm actually a little shocked to find out-

I googled if you have to be a citizen to buy a gun and assumed it would say yes but instead it says:

Legal permanent residents (green card holders): Can buy firearms, but must meet residency requirements and all other federal and state laws, and provide their alien/admission number.

Non-immigrant visa holders: Can purchase a firearm if they meet a specific exception outlined in the law. Common exceptions include:
Having a valid hunting license or permit.

Being admitted to the U.S. for lawful hunting or sporting purposes.

Being a foreign law enforcement officer on official duty.

Certain representatives of a foreign government.

Non-immigrant visa holders who have established state residency: Can purchase from an unlicensed person if they are residents of the same state and no other laws prohibit it.

Non-immigrant visa holders who do not meet exceptions: Can purchase a firearm through a licensee for direct export, meaning they cannot take possession of it in the U.S. before it is exported.
