(53,163 posts)21. As someone whose Congressional vote may well become utterly, totally, and completely worthless
thanks to gerrymandering, that Democrats could have banned had they gotten rid of it I wish they had. And let's take a look at what might have happened if we had banned it. Maybe abortion could be banned nationwide. For vast numbers of women it has been and the filibuster remains. Just today WI lost all of its abortion providers. Maybe we would have seen massive numbers of employees fired had the filibuster been eliminated. Actually the employees were fired but the filibuster remains. Maybe we would have seen trans people legislated out of existence, oh wait that happened too.
