(9,562 posts)20. Because we aren't in power to do so and Republicans never let it stop them from passing what they wanted anyway.
The one time in recent memory where Senate filibuster precedent would have prevented them from doing what they wanted, they immediately changed the rules so they could force their MAGA nominees onto the Supreme Court.
So, yes, fuck the filibuster. We should have gotten rid of it, we should run on getting rid of it the next time we are on the majority, and MAGA fascism is on the march and they are well past the point of giving a damn about the silly filibuster at this point.
