2. Sigh The young too often don't know what they want...

I hate to sound all " You kids git off my lawn" and old fart, but there is some truth to the notion that a lot of youth in this country has been raised in a bubble of their social media, and only have half a clue about how the world works and at what sort of time scale.
They, like the youth of my day, put a lot more trust and enthusiasm in what people say than the history of what they did.
Makes for all sorts of confusion, disappointment, and eventually cynicism when they realize their role models and influencers may have lied to them for profit.
