D.C. area residents hoping to watch the return of Jimmy Kimmel Live on their local ABC station will be out of luck. [View all]

WJLA, the ABC-affiliate in the region, will not be airing Kimmel's show. Instead, they will preempt the show as part of a decision by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which owns WJLA and other ABC stations around the country. Sinclair said it was having ongoing discussions about Kimmel's return.
