...Dem's aren't negotiating.

This is a political stance by the minority party, making demands of the majority, exposing the lie that Democrats are intransigent, and calling trump's bluff to the point where the buffoon scuttles his own talking points on the shutdown.

This isn't negotiation. It's Democrats already committed to voting against cloture demanding changes in the budget republicans intend to ram through.

It makes no sense to portray Democrats as negotiating anything other than to point out that they are willing to sit down and press their demands with republicans or the WH, both of whom have clearly said they're locking Democrats out of the process and can do it on their own.

If you listen to either Schumer or Jeffries, you can clearly see that they are making DEMANDS for changes in the budget bill related to the expiration of the ACA tax credits and other priorities, knowing full well that republicans only control the process up and until they need to move their partisan bill forward in the Senate (or at least under the present Senate cloture/filibuster rules).
