Guns are quite precise - particularly with a scope.

200 yards is only 14% of the maximum distance a decent hunting rifle can kill at.
Head and upper torso are fair sized targets compared to a bullseye.

Load, aim, and pull the trigger are not that physically hard to do nor mentally very hard to figure out..

It is the emotional side or the mental portion making that decision to use the gun to kill that is troubling.
From the stats, attitudes or the gun culture within Republicans (someone can probably express this better) seems to make is easier for individuals on the edge go over the edge. The problem has been around for all of my 70 years.
