Schrödinger's douchebag. My guess is that he's technically alive but he's had some sort of "episode" of losing his marbles to the point where he can't be allowed to speak in public at all. So his handlers are waiting to decide whether he will be able to recover at least enough of them to keep pretending to be the president, or whether to do the 25th Amendment Tango.
