8. The worst thing we can do

is to make Democrats think that elections are fixed. Nothing can depress our vote more than that.

Who would want to spend hundreds of hours canvassing a district, donating money or even voting if we convince our voters that the results a predetermined against us.

I will admit that we have to fight uphill. The Electoral College, the Senate and gerrymandering put us at a disadvantage, but the votes are counted correctly. The uphill fight means we have to work all the harder, not tell our voters "It doesn't matter".
