Can I say something that may be insensetive?

I'm only talking numbers here, so please don't blast me. I contend that a portion of Democratic leaning, soft voters are misogynist. Now, I know a large portion of MAGAts are, but I think we lose 10% of male voters (and a handful of Female voters, especially white) because of gender bias. I'm sure that percentage is far greater among MAGAts, but we're not getting those vote anyway.

The look into the numbers has made me come to this conclusion. Remember, Misogyny is not confined to just white men, but crosses all racial, ethnic and religious groups. And please, don't think I mean all men, just 10% of men who would normally vote for a Democratic man, but can't bring themselves to vote for a woman.

Trump carried every swing state, but the Democrats won 5 of the 6 statewide contests. And when I say there are some men who won't vote for as women President, that does not flow down ballot. Who knows why, but I'm just surmising what the numbers suggest.

The good news is that the Republicans are using Trump numbers to redistrict. Those numbers won't pan out, as the voters they're counting own are not dedicated Republican voters. Now, again, for emphasis, I'm only talking about 10% of men who would generally vote for a Democrat who just can't bring themselves to vote for a woman for President.

My husband is a solid Dem and he can be misogynistic but I know he hates drumpf so much that he did vote for Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris. He just knows that it’s in his best interest as a (now retired) working man to support the Democratic candidates over Republicans. Always.

8. The worst thing we can do

is to make Democrats think that elections are fixed. Nothing can depress our vote more than that.

Who would want to spend hundreds of hours canvassing a district, donating money or even voting if we convince our voters that the results a predetermined against us.

I will admit that we have to fight uphill. The Electoral College, the Senate and gerrymandering put us at a disadvantage, but the votes are counted correctly. The uphill fight means we have to work all the harder, not tell our voters "It doesn't matter".

5. We live in a white supremacy, which includes misogyny, and to pretend that people are unaffected by it is ridiculous.

7. Just as ridiculous as trying to pretend that there are no rich, greedy Dems.

But, we seem to really want to, sometimes.

To some, the rich Democratic Party members are 'saints'. I see way too much suffering and destitution to ever believe that, since there are one or two Democratic party members who could remove most of the issues facing the downtrodden with less than half of their wealth.

BUT...

11. Probably depends on how one defines misogyny

I don't mean that to sound flippant, but I doubt there are any who say things like women shouldn't vote or should be submissive to their husbands. But I would wager there's at least some who have some more subtle feelings that come out in interrupting women or not voting for someone for a leadership position. I would count that as misogyny and I think it's very difficult to escape growing up in our society. I've definitely struggled with it and have worked to unpack that in myself. It's really hard to be honest with yourself about what is or might be an animus based on a group as opposed to some other reason that isn't based on the other person being a woman.

Sometimes the Truth hurts.

The independent Leftists and Status Quo Dems need to start paying attention.
