Mainly because one of our most inalienable rights is the right to NOT vote if we so choose.

Make all the arguments that you want about 'skin in the game' and whatever else. I defend the right to vote one's conscience in any election. Regardless of the perceived threats that certain parties may represent. Even when that conscience says one should not vote.

Now, having said that, this is not the time for such bouts of conscience. I will be blunt here. Neither party is perfect, nor are either immune to the evil of greed and capitalism that is destroying everything. But, the Democratic Party is the better choice to try and aim towards that 'perfect world'. And, irregardless of one's thoughts on the subject, we only have two parties.

It should not bee seen as an 'attraction' to do one's civic duty. It should be seen as a civic duty. The desire to make all of this 'Hollywood' is just more fluff designed to hide the facts of our modern political climate. We need to stop with the 'out-Hollywooding' each other and stick to the facts. Politics is not a game show and the desire to keep making it one is why we are here in the first place.

Lastly, if you want more Americans to be 'attracted' to our current socioeconomic model, then get that same system to actually help some of us, instead of it only 'helping' those who already have more than enough.

That might get more votes, wouldn't you say?
