I read something about sharks once. Now, I am far from a shark expert, so if we have any out in the audience, please feel free to correct this, but...

...sharks supposedly swim through the water with their mouth open. That means everything goes in. Food goes down the hatch, things that are not food get passed out through the gills.

Like I said, i read it once, I don't know how accurate it is, but I love its value as a metaphor for people like Trump, who have no conscience, no values, just a singular, simplistic, relentless quest for the three things I mentioned in the subject line.

Everything you named is in alignment with that. And yes, he summarily dismisses anything that won't get him closer to those three "goals."
