18. I was born in Austin. My dad managed the 2-J's restaurant on Lamar in the 60's.

Both he and my mom went to Texas, as did my grandmother, two aunts, and all three of my brothers.

My dad remembers listening to the radio the day Whitman went up the tower, and hearing the announcer go into shock when he read--live on air--his own son's name as one of the victims. Horrifying stuff.
