Transparency and the consumer wants to know what their order costs, broken down by category. I make my decision on whether to buy from a retailer based on what it cost to do business with them. If I can buy something cheaper at another retailer, I’ll back out of an order and get it cheaper (or faster) elsewhere, What is wrong with telling the consumer what the price is — in detail? If tariffs are such a great idea, be honest. Tell the consumer what the tariff cost is. Stop trying to hide it.
