(63,221 posts)15. I pretty much feel the same as you do.
I feel more connected to the city, state or region that I live in than the country as a whole. I have felt more at home in certain European countries than I have in certain areas of this country.
I have never felt terribly patriotic, but it does annoy me when other nationalities see us as a monolith.
