It's really surprising because even though she was a truly wonderful person she was not a politician. I like that they've done it and I've cried during the memorial but it's quite odd.

CNN covered the funeral as well. Am sure MSNBC was not going to be outdone by any other major media player.

injected, which was a huge ratings boon to all networks, the media wouldn't be covering it. Had John been faithful, there wouldn't have been live coverage.
That being said, I'm glad it is getting live coverage. Elizabeth was loved and respected by thousands, perhaps, millions. We get the feeling of getting to say goodbye, by watching this live.

and maybe Morning Killer & Krew would have made some remarks about it..
The only stuff they are "bumping" today is their usual "Prisons We Know & Love", "Let's Re-Solve A 15 Yr Old 'Mystery' Crime" & "Ridiculously Gruesome Crimes of the Past 30 Years".
