And to answer your question,
Simple majority in House moves charges to the Senate. The Senate must vote a 2/3rds majority to convict on each allegation.

But I knew what you meant.
Leaders assign a Conference Committee, they work on the sausage, bills go back to each body, and if they agree after passage, they go to the President.
