"Bernie Sanders" is the most popular term on twitter- worldwide. |
|
<snip> But outside the Capitol, Sanders’ audience was immeasurably larger. By early evening, his name became the most popular term on Twitter both in America and worldwide. The phone lines at Sanders’ office were jammed with calls. <snip> Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1210/46246.html#ixzz17klUWrkB

while listening to how the WH is going to take Boehner "at his word" and how Obama is going to "fight for us" in 2012 to repeal tax cuts for billionaires.
Haven't missed a beat. Haven't heard how extending the current tax cuts for the wealthy are going to all of a sudden create jobs or save the economy after all of these years of failure, either.
Thanks for asking.

|
in real life, sanders is filibustering the deal obama made and says he wants passed. obama wants it passed enough that brought in clinton to pitch for him today.
so which way is it. is obama for his deal, because sanders isn't or he wouldn't be filibustering. or is sanders really for the this deal and is just filibustering because he doesn't have anything else to do and is bored.
it can't really be both ways.
it's what they do, not what they say. do you understand now. good luck.

7. I hope those who question what Senator Sanders is accomplishing know this |
|
It's called leadership, and it looks funny because we're not used to seeing it.
It's called moral authority, and it's something that's hard to find in politics.
Sadly, I'll be surprised in the American public is ground fertile enough for the seeds Senator Sanders is planting to grow in.

The reaction from average people on both sides has been overwhelmingly positive.
Once again, our leadership will refuse to listen. Just like with TARP and the Public Option, they will ignore public opinion and screw us over to appease their wealthy masters.

Protector 20 says: Bernie says, "I am simply here today to take as long as I can to explain to the American people the fact that we have got to do a lot better than this agreement provides.” What the socialist senator means to say is that we have got to do a lot better TAKING MORE OF YOUR MONEY than this agreement provides! The Democrats could have a very simple argument if they told the truth. They could say the following:
We know Americans work hard for their money but we believe the federal government needs it more than you to give to people who are not working so they can have food stamps. We could just say send in 10% of your income but we believe if you make more money, you should pay a higher percentage. Since you won't give it voluntarily, we're going to fight to take it from you.
But liberals can't say that because Americans would then see them for who they are. So they have to accuse the GOP of protecting the rich, instead of explaining that those individuals who make more than $250,000 per year are the EMPLOYERS in this country. If they keep more of their money, they might give the rest of us jobs. Somehow that argument can't trump the good ol' liberal mantra that in order for government to prevail, we need as many Americans dependent on government for their every need.
The good news is that people are now seeing more and more liberals for who they are. 2012 will make 2010 look like a lovefest.
The standard line. What happened to these people that they can't think for themselves?
