In fact I do not mind an "elite" if that means rich people. The world is not fair and some people have more looks, brains and ability than others.
Royalty, however, should be done away with. Give up your title or your head.

50. Yep. Her cold-hearted manipulation of Princess Diana was utterly shameful. |
|
She and that big-eared sot Prince Charles took advantage of a 19 year old girl and suckered her into continuing the line while lying to the church and everyone else.
I hate both of their fucking guts. It's about time their pampered existence was disrupted.

was insulting to him. Oh my God, I couldn't even answer. The elite sympathizers won't even acknowledge that's that how they see us.
This won't wake them up. Camilla will find even more strength in her elitist view that we're just here to subsidize her emeralds and poor Charles, who has a 20th of a clue, won't understand how his family's imperial millions have deprived others of justice.
Nope, not walking up anytime soon.

|
but it is quite a reach. I do give him some credit on that score, nonetheless. Camilla? Nah.... Privileged and so convinced she is above it all.
One thing that Diana appreciated is that a modern monarchy has to include interaction on the important social issues of the day. The aloofness to issues impacting the people who support them is what will eventually dismantle their system of entitlement.

61. Actually Charles always was concerned about the people's |
|
issues. The monarchy in Britain are not allowed to get involved in politics, but I believe he got himself in trouble during the Thatcher years by speaking up for the working class. He and Diana, had they had a good marriage, could have been a huge force for good as they had similar concerns in terms of the people. But they didn't. And I doubt Camilla has much interest in the little people.

human being if he could've ever gotten out from under Mummy and Daddy's thumbs. If he had had the guts to marry Camilla in the first place instead of Diana. |
And irrelevant to the cause, which was rising tuition fees and education cuts. The royals have no political power, and the demo was really against Cameron, Clegg and the rest of the government.
This attack will be used by the right-wing media as ammunition against the students, and as a deflection from the real issues.
Needless to say, the tabloid press already have far more to say about this incident than about a young man who was nearly killed by a policeman's truncheon.
