4. Big Ed wants a good bill |
|
not a capitulation to the Republicans/Blue Dogs/Insurance companies. I am glad someone is going to bat for us. Big Eddie has been calling the congressional Dems who are seeking to kill the public option in this bill on the carpet, from day one. Fuck those who would rather defend the status quo by getting all up in arms about someone going after a fellow Dem, than demanding real change.
Your enemy isn't Ed Schultz, try saving some of that ire for those that really deserve it.

8. Thank you, but unfortunately Ed's ratings are dropping because he... |
|
has legitimate concerns and questions regarding healthcare. He's doing all of us a favor in holding EVERYONE'S feet to the fire even though it's unpopular with some.

21. Bullshit! His ratings are as high as ever. You just don't like the Democratic rulers |
|
being held to account. That's too bad for you, not Ed.

but unless he has a crystal ball he really doesn't know what will happen in 2010. Democrats might lose seats, then what? I like him but I wish he would just calm down a bit. We can all continue to fight for what we want but wait and see in 2010, no that doesn't make sense to me. Gamble, roll of the dice is right that's exactly what it would be.

12. I'm tired of well-paid tv personalities who think that ranting in studo for an hour day means |
|
they're "fighting for the litte guy."
I'm not interested in being yelled at by big-mouthed blowhards - whether or not I happen to agree with them.
Daily meltdowns may be emotionally satisfying, but they do absolutely nothing to move the ball down the field - and they're annoying as hell.
I like Ed Shultz, but a little of him goes a long way . . .

22. I don't always agree with Ed, and sometimes he pisses me off because he doesn't listen |
|
well. On the other hand, I think he has nailed this issue all along. Just because the Democratic leadership are cowards who live for their corporate masters does not mean Ed has to go along and be Mr. Supportive. He has been advocating major healthcare reform and calling out the weasels and the whiners throughout this whole process. Of course, all the go-along Dems would love for Ed to shut up and let them give the store away without anyone calling them on it.
I'm just thrilled that he hasn't allowed the Powers That Be to shut him up on this issue.
It seems like the Democratic bigwigs have decided that this is a MUST-PASS bill no matter how much of a corporate giveaway it is. If they pulled in Big Dawg to persuade the Progressives to roll over, that is bad news.
